E-resources and How to Search Them Effectively

The seminar focuses on key skills that will help you search for information in e-resources quickly and effectively. You will learn how to approach searching, how to formulate your queries, and which methods lead to good results. The goal is to save you time and ensure you know which techniques to use. We will go through various search strategies in practice and explain what works and why.

The seminar is divided into two parts: we will cover the most important principles of effective searching and demonstrate step-by-step approaches in specific e-resources using practical examples.

What are e-resources?

They include scientific articles, statistical data, e-books, analyses, and much more. We provide access to over 30 e-resources, which means hundreds of thousands of e-books, tens of thousands of journal titles, and countless statistics.

Why should you care about e-resources?

• Your professors expect you to be able to work with them.
• You will need them for every academic paper you write.
• Studying becomes more efficient when you use them.
